Rockville, MD, USA and London — The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS), the largest global organization of and for those involved with the regulation of healthcare and related products, and Elemed, Europe’s leading technical recruiter in the medical technology (MedTech) industry, have signed a partnership to offer Elemed’s Mentoring Academy to RAPS members at special rate. With the first program launching in September, Elemed’s Mentoring Academy is the first of its kind—a hybrid mentoring and training program—specifically designed for regulatory, quality and clinical professionals within the MedTech and in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry.
“The goal of the program is to accelerate the growth of soft skills that are typically acquired over a long period of time, through trial and error, or not at all,” said Elemed founder Elena Kyria. “RAPS shares our vision of empowering global regulatory professionals to exchange knowledge, ideas and expertise with one another to enhance personal and professional growth.”
RAPS Interim Executive Director Bill McMoil added that “together, we hope to offer new pathways and connections for regulatory professionals to excel and grow in their careers.”The Elemed Mentoring Academy Program is open to regulatory professionals across the globe and will run virtually over seven months. It combines one-on-one personalized mentoring sessions with live group training sessions and a virtual support network. Group training sessions will be recorded and participants can access them on demand. In addition to the benefits associated with the program, RAPS members receive a 20% discount on the program fee (excluding early bird sign ups), and all participants (mentees and mentors) will have the opportunity to earn recertification credits for their Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) credentials.
The September launch is a pilot and based on interest and success, Elemed and RAPS are exploring ways to expand this offering across other sectors of the regulatory community.
All healthcare industry mentors have been secured for the September launch. The deadline for mentees to register has just been extended to 14 August. For more information, visit www.elemed.eu/mentoring.
