MedTech Europe, the European Trade Association for the MedTech Industry, together with seven European Trade Associations, calls on the European Commission and the Member States to accelerate the implementation of the new regulatory system.
The group, comprising of representation from industry, healthcare service providers and patients, highlighted its concerns around the status of the MDR implementation and urged the European Commission to speed up.
With only one year to go until the date of application of the MDR, will the system be ready?
We thus call on the European Commission and Member States to accelerate the implementation of the regulatory system to prevent a “cliff-edge” scenario for patients, healthcare professionals, and healthcare systems in Europe.
