GenAI Adoption in Regulatory Affairs: elemed’s Survey Findings
Across the regulatory community, upskilling in GenAI remains inconsistent.
To understand how teams are responding, elemed surveyed 49 senior RA leaders on adoption, readiness, and the skills they believe will be needed next.
Their insights reveal an emerging adoption gap. Smaller organisations are able to run targeted experiments faster, while larger companies face more structural barriers. The findings highlight where AI is being used today, where it is not, and what this means for the future of the function.
The AI Accelerator 2026
In response to these findings, we have created the AI Accelerator, a focused and selective programme for RA leaders who want to begin with one targeted workflow and build capability through practical pilots. It supports leaders to test a workflow inside real work, review the impact within a fixed window and refine or standardise what proves effective.
This reflects the pattern identified in the research: progress comes from applied experimentation tied to real work, not from theory.
